New York City Consignment Shops

For clothing that is in "like new" condition and/or designer labels, consignment shops are a great way to make money as you declutter your closets. Try to time your consignment towards the upcoming season.  Talk to each about their desired clothing types and policies, as it varies from store to store.  As an example, Encore, a designer consignment shop, requires a four month contract with 3 months in house mandatory. The client receives 50% of the selling price. Items must be current within a year or so, seasonal and in perfect condition.
